Frequently Asked Questions

Full payment is required at the time of your order to ensure that we have all necessary materials on hand to begin production promptly. If you have any concerns about this policy or questions about canceling an order that has not been completed, please contact us.

The lead time will be 3-5 weeks (depending on the item) from the date of your order. Factors such as backordered materials, holidays, or post-office strikes may potentially affect the lead time. If you require a quicker turnaround, please check our in-stock catalogue.

Due to the size and nature of our business, we aim to avoid any delays in processing your order. Therefore, we have designated Mondays as our shipping day for parcels. We appreciate your patience and anticipate finding better solutions for shipping and handling in the near future.

Your item will be made by one person -either Christos or Christos & Mary- from start to finish; it will be 100% hand stitched (no machines involved). Cut and finished by hand using traditional leathercraft tools and methods.

Most of our products can be customized. You can choose the leather colour, thread colour, hardware, etc., we can stamp your initials, your name, a date or even a phrase for you and we will make it to order.

We accept bespoke commissions but not during busy periods and only after discussion. The amount of work it takes designing a new product from scratch is longer that you can imagine.

This is just the nature of handmade, small-batch, high-demand items. Things tend to sell out very quickly when they’re in stock. In order to still keep items available to view and research, we keep everything up for looking even if it’s not currently available.

Aetolus is a person whose origin hails from the mountainous region of Aetolia in Greece.
I am from that region and I have it close to my heart. It’s in the middle of nowhere, or in other words, it’s not a touristic destination; but it has rich history and good food.
