Our Story
The Aetolian journey began in the early 2020s when we first started crafting knife rolls, binocular cases, tent bags, and pouches on a vintage post-WWII hand-cranked Singer sewing machine for our own use.
Three years later, Aetolus Leather has grown into a small business with a traditional crafting ethos in the heart of Edinburgh.
All our leather goods are designed and handcrafted by Christos and Mary. Our leather is ethically sourced and tanned using natural tannins right here in the UK. Almost all of our metal hardware is forged by family-owned businesses in England or Scotland. Each piece is made using traditional methods and tools, all wrapped up in an eco-friendly package.
