The Barrel shoulder/Hand Bag

This bag is made entirely from vegetable tanned calfskin and lined with soft, yet tough, chrome tanned pigskin.
It features two small pockets, one on each side, also lined with pig skin. The hardware is out of solid brass and it’s stitched with rotproof waxed polyester.

It’s a bag made for those seeking something deferent from the standard rectangular shape, something that truly stands out. Two full-length straps wrapped around the bag keeping it securely in shape while providing access to the main compartment. There is also space to accommodate a handle on top, transforming this shoulder bag into a handbag which can easily stand on a flat surface thanks to the added domed feet at the bottom. Whether you choose to use the adjustable shoulder strap or not, this bag offers versatile style and function.

On the back, there’s a space for personalization, where you can add an engraved brass plate with your name, address, or a text of your choice.

This item is not for sale just yet. It’s a bespoke creation—an experiment and my first venture into bag making. Until now, I’ve focused on smaller items, so this project was both a challenge and a milestone.

If you’d like to see how it was made, a video will be available soon.
