Our Vision

Meet the makers:

We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Edinburgh, UK, and we feel truly blessed to share our passion for leathercraft. Everything we make is built to last and only gets better with time. Using traditional tools and techniques, we pour our heart into creating high-quality, authentic leather goods. Each piece is one of a kind, made to be cared for and treasured for years to come—it’s a reflection of the craftsmanship we love and the values we hold close.

Christos says: With the help of God, a lot of patience and practice, i am working on this craft to eventually start officially trading and make our creations available to you. Thanks to my spiritual father, my mentor and exceptional bookbinder, Priest Luke, my wife and helper Mary (Shia-Maria) and Mr William from the Vintage Paper Co. we are hoping to make our debut by the end of 2024/Q1-2025. I am humbled by all the positive feedback we have received so far; it motivates me to continually improve my work to live up to your kind words. God bless you all.

Our Story: From the Kitchen to the Workshop

It all started with a simple need: a binocular case that matched the rugged, natural aesthetic of my outdoor equipment. When I couldn’t find what I wanted, I decided to make it myself. That first attempt, though challenging, sparked something in me. Using a post-WWI, hand-cranked Singer sewing machine and scrap materials, I crafted a case that I was happy with—and that’s when things started to take off.

For over a decade, I worked as a chef, with leathercraft as just a side project. However, in the summer of 2024, a health issue forced me to step back from the kitchen, which became a blessing in disguise. It gave me the opportunity to fully embrace leathercraft—a skill that is both ancient and timeless, and one that rewards patience and precision. What began as a hobby has now become a full-time pursuit. With Mary’s support, we’ve turned it into a craft business rooted in tradition.

Crafted by Hand, Built to Last

In 2023, after attending a masterclass with Mr. Nigel Armitage, my wife Mary joined me in the workshop, adding her unique touch to the pieces we create. Although she still works her day job, she contributes whenever she can, and together we’re building something special.

Our products reflect a lifestyle that values quality over convenience and craftsmanship over mass production.

We believe that every item we make is meant to last. Whether it’s a bespoke knife roll for a professional chef or a sturdy pouch for an outdoor enthusiast, our goal is to create products that are as unique as the people who use them. Each piece is designed to age beautifully and become part of your life for years to come.

Honouring Tradition with the Best Materials

From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to using only the finest materials. Leather isn’t cheap, and neither are the tools, but quality is always worth the investment.

We source vegetable-tanned and waxed leathers, solid brass hardware, and durable waxed braided threads to ensure our products stand the test of time. Almost everything we make is hand-stitched, reinforcing the strength and integrity of each piece, so it’s something you can pass down to future generations.

Why Natural Matters

In a world full of synthetic, disposable products, we offer something different: natural, handcrafted goods that improve with age. While synthetic materials often mimic natural ones, they don’t last nearly as long. Real wood, real leather—these materials develop a rich patina over time, reflecting their journey and adding depth to their character. That’s what we’re committed to offering: 100% natural products that are made to last.

Our packaging is also plastic-free and fully recyclable, aligning with our mission to leave a lighter footprint on the earth. Whether it’s leather treated with natural waxes and oils or solid brass hardware, every detail is intentional.
