Introducing the ‘Munros’ – A Bespoke Wallet for the Adventurous Spirit
I recently completed a special project for a friend, Macaulay, who is a mountain leader. This isn’t just any wallet; it’s a bespoke creation designed to withstand the rigors of mountain life while offering a unique style and functionality.
Crafting the “Munros” Wallet
The “Munros” wallet is crafted from waxy leather, known for its durability and the beautiful pull-up effect it develops with use. Hand-stitched for strength and longevity, this wallet is built to last.
The wallet is designed to hold cards and cash, and it’s a bit chunky, perfect for someone always on the move. All the edges are burnished to perfection, giving it a smooth and polished look.
Unique Design Inspired by the Scottish Mountains a.k.a Munros
The card pockets of the ‘Munros’ wallet are inspired by the shape of the Scottish mountains, known as Munros. This design element adds a personal touch and a nod to Macaulay’s love for the mountains.
Personalized for Macaulay
To make it even more special, the wallet features a veg tan label with Macaulay’s name, installed with brass rivets on the inside pocket. This personal touch makes it truly one-of-a-kind.
Five Months Later: Still Going Strong
The photos on my blog post show the wallet after five months of use and abuse. Despite being up in the mountains and rock climbing, it stands strong and still looks like new. This wallet is not just stylish; it’s built to endure the everyday challenges of an adventurous life.
